I bet you need no further introduction to this pan – very well-known as a double-sided pressure pan or a baking pan. It took me a long time before I plonked down good money for this purchase. Was very hesitant at first as there were too many fake pans being sold and in the end, got it off Gmarket which ships in directly from Korea at less than SGD $70 (inclusive of shipping). Remember to check for authenticity before buying – you may refer to this article for things to look out for.
I got the pan that is slightly bigger – also known as the multi-purpose pan. Pretty perfect to do some baking! In fact, the depth of the pan is good for doing so.
Anyhow, I attempted my first marble cake from scratch! My first bake after my Home Econs’ days!
Ingredients:
- 250g Salted Butter
- 200g to 250g Extra Fine Sugar; I used Castor Sugar
- 250g Self-Raising Flour
- 6 Eggs
- Milo Powder (amount as desired)
Preparing the mix:
- Mix the salted butter and sugar together
- Pour in the eggs’ mixture bit by bit
- Add the self-raising flour
******
Poured in the mixture; stir in the Milo powder… (keeping my fingers very crossed that the cake will ‘rise’)
Put over low heat, approximately 8 – 10 minutes. Time to flip over!
Baking made easy! To me, doing the mix was more tedious as I have no cake mixer.
I used Milo cos the Husband is one Milo/Nutella fan and ain’t a Marble Cake lover. This is to entice him to try my cake!
And if you have a less ‘fattening’ recipe, please share with me! :)

Yeah, I saw your tweet on this... looks like it's worth the buy! (A bit tempted myself... :P)
Pretty worth the buy I would say! I cook a lot more after I got this. Cos cooking's fast, cleaning's easy! You can consider. :)
